The PF-50T is a very cool amp, not a tone stack, but would sound great through her 212AV.

99% pointless dicking around with little boxes is the sort of thing which helps to blank the mind after a horrible day at work.

I guess the tongue and cheek aspect to my suggestions was lost somewhere between my thoughts and the keyboard. I would hate for either of you two to lose your necks in an ill-advised attempt to deceive the government agencies responsible for these types of transactions.

Didn’t a US club member quite recently sell a bass with rosewood fretboard to an overseas buyer?

How did that go about - Any workarounds?

Well, they did help in what was an existential crisis Sunday. Whether or not they'll be working as well in a few months is up for debate....but they're cheap and a not bad simulation of actual sanity at this point.

My feeling about the 'w' word since around 1959...

May have been a member that was selling a Rickenbacker converted to 5 string, he said it got seized at a warehouse where it would have shipped overseas from there. Think the sale was through ebay, and he got notified that it was seized and the transaction would not be completed. Ebay was going to refund his money, but the bass is now in the abyss, never to be returned to him.

That’s a major bummer.... So basically the seller lost his bass and got no money..? :(

I read that string, it was completely horrifying. The OP eventually got an explanation from EBay:

Package was stopped because the box was labeled "Fragile" and "Glass" (and this is the Rickenbacker shipping box) and EBay has a rule of not shipping packages with those markings overseas. And EBay put the bass up for sale themselves.

Ebay Restricted item?

Seller got paid, buyer got money back, EBay sold the bass.

Explain to me how that makes any sense?
