Same as my last sentiment. Like what cops do with seized contraband (i.e., drugs, et al).

If it was a stock or slightly modified bass I'd say no big deal or no harm done. While I don't have any idea what it actually takes to turn a four string into a five string that was a very special order. It was modified as a one-off with great care specifically for one individual.

That's the part that makes me feel sick. All that professional work and care resulting in a unique instrument and in the end...

Short on $$? Sell your felines. Maybe you can find a simulation for them that works as well as the VTB does for bass.

This is exactly why I still use an Acoustic Control amp when it will fit into the venue. It only needs eq for the venue to dial out any weirness in the room. I know the sound it will make.

The member who does these mods is pretty well versed on it, he has done several, mainly Rics.
Still, such a shame at that outcome.
And the real killer is, aren't Rickenbacker fret-boards, not rosewood?
