I wonder why the listing has the NR as a 2012? It's even stamped 2013.

My 2008 white Thunderbird looks more like a creamy white. That one looks brown. Back in elementary school we had to make a paper look old, so we rubbed bags of tea (specifically worded, I know how you guys think) on the paper to give it an old historic loo. That's what that bass looks like to me.

My guess is that the owner smoked heavily in his studio where that bass spent its existence. That doesn't look like normal aging to me.
Don't know why, but i like the way it looks.

I can see that being the reason.
The aging doesn't look very uniform, it almost looks blotchy, unless it's weird reflections.

That blue one right up front looks like the '73 I had for a number of years. Only not nearly as creepy as my van was by the time I got it.

His comment about Gibson finishes and age is amusing. It's not thick poly like on a Fender or an Epi, but it sure is more durable than any kind of Fender nitro ever was. Aside from putting it in a pot of coffee or smokehouse, I don't know how you get anything to age like that.

The liner in the case looks pure white though.
Could still possibly be weird lighting or reflections.

It would be interesting to see what the body looks like with the pickguard removed. No idea if it's normal for Gibson finishes to age this much in just ten years but I have a 1968 Fender P Bass that's about the same color and that's after nearly 50 years. Still cool looking.
My 2008 isn't the best to compare to, it's been in a case for most of it's life. But I've seen other white Gibson's from around the same time, that have been gigged heavily, that aren't that colour. Always more of a creamy yellowish, but not brown like that. I think @Gaolee is right, the owner smoked heavily in his studio.
