Thunderbird Club

My 2006 isn't the best to compare to, it's been in a case for most of it's life. But I've seen other white Gibson's from around the same time, that have been gigged heavily, that aren't that colour. Always more of a creamy yellowish, but not brown like that. I think @Gaolee is right, the owner smoked heavily in his studio.

If it is from smoking, that's just nasty.

@theFixer ....... Heading off-topic with zero T'Bird involvement, but you might also want to check-out some other vids from 28/10.

Warren trading licks with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, (was support, but came back on for Statesboro Blues jam).....

and the encore, Whipping Post, with Bernie Marsden.....

WOW!!! Yeah! That sounds like it was a good night!

I'm really surprised they were touring over there. Everyone knows that the Brits don't know nuthin' 'bout the blues!

... wait... WAIT... I WAS ONLY KIDDING!!! I WAS ONLY KI...:blackeye: :dead:

Most don't! I'm reminded of a conversation in a local pub one night, a while back, where on the subject of the blues.... I was informed.... "Well, the Rolling Stones invented it!" LOL.
Oh, it's true! I was there when Mick, Keef, & the boys, burst out of the laboratory exclaiming, "EUREKA!!!".:roflmao:

If there was a style of music called "The Dours" the English would have it locked down. :P

After all, "hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way".

LOL. I'll let that go! I'll pretend it went over my head, like most of the conversation in the last 2 days, where the fine citizens of the USofA have been talking about blowin' trannies, penguins eating ice cream and the number of wheels on their vehicles...... (Where more seems to be better??????) That stuff really did go over my head! ;)

And my thoughts on wheels and tyres, after having to fork-out 160 quid last week, to put two new tyres on my mothers little runabout, that it would be better if she had a vehicle that hovered and didn't require tyres. Not sure right now how I'm going to make that a reality, but food for thought.....

Thanks, I'm still new around here so people might not yet be familiar with my sense of humor but I intended no insult, there was no malice in my heart. And I can take it as well as I give it.

To show my gratitude, if you send me a PM I'll explain all the 'blowin' trannies' vernacular. You may regret the bad puns which ensue though. :)

A few years back I had to back out of a sweet deal on a vintage Ampeg B-15 portaflex. It was advertised in Craigslist and fairly close to my house so I went over with cash in hand for a quick sale before someone else nicked it. When I got there I was heart broken. It was in excellent condition but just reeked of cigarette smoke. I couldn't get within two feet of it without gagging. No way I could have that in my house. Went home empty handed.
I wonder if that aged TBird has the same problem?

I would so cringe myself as well. That Bird sure does have the look of being smoked on.
