Yes and no. The higher you set them, the more scooped they sound. I keep them low and even, and it works well. They are almost like Piezo pickups, except without the impedance mismatches all the time. They don't sound 'Bird like so much, but I really like them for what they do. They are perfect for a fretless.

The link shows that whoever owned that one moved the strap button and appears to have drilled through the neck plate to install it in the proper location. That's what I did. It might be an earlier one with the big neck in case Fixer might be thinking about a relatively inexpensive 'Bird.

Get one of those Japanese ones with the gaming systems and weefee and hi/lo beam headlights with the 345 presets on the built in bidet.

Yes, I’ve seen it a few times, and other bolt-ons that I’ve considered buying just for the hardcase. But yeah, nah.

Happy about the bass for you but wow, I hope the winds change for the better and you'll make it out of that mess unscathed.

I know that the clear cutting of forests like in the past is horrible but perhaps much wider fire lines could be agreed to? This wild fire thing that Californians have to deal with year after year has to be an ecological disaster as well as an unbearable burden to the people of California. There has to be a way to fix this...

Biologically, it's the result of not letting anything burn for 30 years. All that energy gets stored in the deadfall and detritus matter and is what backwoods firefighters call "heavy fuel". When it does burn, it burns everything to the ground, which is why Yellowstone went up like a giant match. Areas that are managed with fire as part of the plan only have excess energy burned off, which makes for healthy forests. There's no way back at this point that I'm aware of.

My ETBIV has a Tone Monster preamp in it. It's the bass that ended up getting recorded for our most recent stuff. I'm running through an MXR M85 Bass Distortion and that into an Ampeg SVT-3Pro and two Hartke 410XL's makes me grin like an idiot.

Two different pals checked the house for me. Both said “No bass, no door tag.” At about 7:00pm I get a tracking notification from UPS saying it’s getting delivered tomorrow. They probably got bogged down by the extra holiday stuff, but I should have it tomorrow and I’m well pleased about this :)

In other news, I threw my back out! Bowling. With my 79 year old dad (who takes bowling very serious, but that’s not the point). I don’t have chronic back issues. The occasional thing over the years like anyone else. But I sure did something not good. So strange all these threads and posts I’ve seen all week about folks looking for workarounds for a bad back and the whole time I’m thinking, “thank goodness I never get back issues.”
Bowling, with my 79 year old dad. Not carrying an 810 cab up 3 flights of stairs. Not slipping while carrying a Mesa 400+ . Not even something noble like falling off a stage because I was just so into it. Bowling. With a 79 year old

I have always LOVED all the ghost notes he out into that part. It' bubbly and dynamic and has a groove 53 miles wide.
