The 4HH's are very, very versatile. Weight aside, it is a contender for my second favourite bass.
An added bonus, for me at least, that I didn't know until recently, they use stainless steel frets!

I've only played plugged in for about 10 minutes so far, but "substantial" is certainly an appropriate adjective!. My only real complaint is, that it doesn't sound like a Thunderbird. It sounds incredible... but I've been in Thundermode for a while now. This is gonna take some getting used to...

The lower back is a great cosmic joke on us. I hope it is a short healing time so you can really enjoy the new 'Bird.

TBH... it's not as substantial as I was hoping... but there's a trade-off. This has the best action of any bass I have personally lain hands on! It plays so effortlessly... I'm at a loss for words! The rolled fretboard edges are a welcome luxury, and the frets are pristine. This is a seriously high quality piece! I've barely been able to spend any time with it yet... but if I can't have a Thunderbird right now... THIS seems like a good place to "post up" until I can get Carlo to build me one;) :bassist::hyper:

Also, as far as I remember seing in a behind the scenes program: The puppeteers were facing the puppets on the Muppet Show, so their left hand would be controlling the puppet's right hand...

First world problems of the poopy kind: That plumbing problem is now a source of good news. Yeah, the toilet was clogged. We bought it 20 years ago because it had some water saving technology. Turns out that technology wasn't so hot and the toilet has issues. I thought we might have a collapsed side sewer. The plumber ran his camera down the drain and reported that it was clay (good new) and in great shape all the way down (even better news). There were some minor dips and a little bit of root intrusion at 77 feet, which is probably just about to the street the way it loops around. So, for once, paying a plumber's bill made me happy. I was dreading what the condition of the side sewer might be. Turns out it's not a problem and it will probably last another 100 years. If not, certainly longer than I will need to think about it.

OK, so not 'Bird content, but happiness anyway. It's kinda bizarre being really happy about needing to buy a new toilet.
