As I'm sure you know... people are SO passionate about their instruments! We devote significant portions of our lives to them. Each individual's experiences and knowledge have components that line up with other peoples', and those that don't. Tolerance, understanding, and mutual respect are required in order for a place like this to exist successfully. It is my opinion that there is a significantly higher concentration of people with those traits, here in the Thunderbird Club, than in most others. We've had a few dust-ups, but certainly nothing like the needless combative insults & random mean-spiritedness that goes on out in the general population. Another significant contributing factor, is the fact that there are a lot of people here, like myself, who enjoy this place just like it is, and don't want to see, or cause anything bad happen to it. All that stuff adds up to a place where we can hang out together & talk about our musical lives, swap pictures of our pets, come up with vehicular analogies to apply to various aspects of our lives, exchange good-natured jabs, and fight over who gets to chauffeur the Queen around on her birthday... and most days... everybody's smiling at the end of the day
