Ok, my ‘Bird played its first show with me tonight. I can’t even begin to say how happy I am with it. The band absolutely loved the sound. It really was massive. Basking in the afterglow

Watching the most recent series of Bosch at the moment. The drums on the opening title music are simply fantastic.
@kat888 i was interested to see your mention of RØDE . The pic of the old shop was familiar to me. I lived in the Ashfield Municipality from approx ‘66 to ‘90, so likely walked/drove past it a few times.
Love the DollyRots. I discovered them by listening to Little Steven's Underground Garage. I listen to them with my daughter; part of her musical education. I had no idea that Kelly plays a `bird.
I googled her. It seems she has several birds. So it os true that flocks multiply.

"I play a Gibson Thunderbird bass through a Mesa Boogie 400 head and 2x15 cabinet that I bought 8 years ago when I switched from guitar to bass. I also use a MXR Bass DI that really boosts my tone and has a nice distortion option too.
My favorite live mic is a Shure Beta 58.
That's pretty much it. I play rock n roll so... it's not too complicated. Although some people find a way to do it!"

Now we’re talking! Been thinking about trying to get one of those amps again. There’s a couple other contenders (Mesa Strategy, Fender Bassman 300, SVTII Non Pro). That’s a rock bass rig for sure!

Going well with this new band's music. I have nine of the ten songs down now. But holy crap it's hard keeping track of nine new-to-me songs in my head. I guess that's what rehearsal is for. Fortunately that JAMC song I can do in my sleep.
