Thunderbird Club

yeah, guess I'll start there. Just seems like its part of the bass' baked in sound. Have Webstrings SS Rounds on it now, I think I have some pro-steels I meant to put on it a while back, I'll slap those on. Just miss that
"P on roids" sound, I guess :)
The general consensus is steel rounds with the neck pup backed off slightly, picking over the bridge pup = angry piano/ classic growly tbird sound :)

Sorry, I was inside the Home Depot. I'm not too certain how differently they sound maybe Michael can explain the difference. I do believe that the Classic Pro is a nine piece laminated neck through where the Tbird Pro is a seven piece. I also know that the Classic Pro gets Gibson pickups and I'm not too sure what the Tbird pro gets.

Typically more ply's=increased stiffness. Not sure what a preferred flea would be. Maybe I'm dazzles with the shininess

Seems like a good time to chime in...here's my cheap little beauty. :D

I've had my Epi T-Bird Pro IV for about two years and really like it, does not feel like a cheap bass at all, and pretty nice EMG active pickups. I have kind of a "love-not crazy about" thing with the active electronics, can be a bit much to deal with sometimes. But overall really nice for a mid-priced axe! :bassist:
