Here are some quick shots of the bass. I'm in love AGAIN!!! The rash on the back is through the paint, but I'm not surprised. The headstock has some chips and paint missing as well. Nothing I can't live with. It sounds incredible!!! I put some strap locks on it and fitted it with a strap and basically cleaned it up. It's ready to go!

Thanks! I'm sure I will as well. I haven't had more than a few minutes to play it, but it feels like a nice bass to play. I couldn't post any more pics, but it's not beat to heck, just played a lot. Frets are all fine. I tweaked the truss a little and wiped it down. Sounds deadly. Not sure if I can use the opti grab. It feels strange. I'll try it during practice and see if I can use it without messing up. Haha!

Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV in natural oil finish. Again, pretty much half the $499 asking price at Sweetwater, Zzounds, Guitar Center, etc.

Browsing local sales and every once in a while, i'll stumble upon gibson thunderbird pickups the black covered ones. Usually for 100$/both. I've always wanted to swap the ones in my goth for those gibson ones. At least i know they'll be cheap hahaha. Still love my goth, it's one killer beast. even though it's the one bass i've always regreted buying cause i spent everything i had on it. Oh well, live and learn.

also, don't remember if i had posted a pic of it's new headstock, but here it is, inner red and shiny black outline. Looks better with the black tuners that stand out.

in due time, haven't gotten around to taking one yet cause i sanded the oil based stain i applied to the fretboard and stained it again with water based. Biggest difference, IMO, water based isn't thick and gooey so it just looks liek the board is ebony when it's rosewood. Also, been deep in other projects (such as repainting a whole guitar, and just acquiered a 20$ precision bass body hardware included even from the neck). Soon, i'll be taking a picture of my beloved bird.
