I drew the original artwork and a friend did the actual leather work for me.DougieB that leather art is really awesome. Are you the artist?
I love the pickguard/truss rod cover! I also would love to hear more about them.
Basically I drew up the artwork on the shape of the truss rod cover and pick guard. A friend who is a leather worker then did the designs for me. She also mounted then on light aluminium to provide rigidity and a wee bit of shielding. This is the second Thunderbird she has down for me. She will do any design for any Bass or guitar.
Hi, Here are close up photos of the Truss Rod Cover and Scratcher.Could you post a closeup of the TRC?
Thanks for that, she does do great work. My other Thunderbird has Huginn and Muninn, Odin's ravens on its scratch plate and strap and Thor's Hammer (Mjölnir) on its Truss Rod Cover.Your friend does really beautiful work. I love the green man motif. Very cool.
Very nice! You're making me think I should pick up a black Nikki Sixx. I did a quick scan of the list, didn't think I saw you, am I adding?
