It's called The Official Vintage Guitar Price Guide. Comes out every year. I"ve bought same year used ones on Amazon. Can also subscribe to an online version. Some bookstores stock it so you can just look something up there if you have no need to buy.
But it's just a guide. Gear can sell for more or less.

Basically I drew up the artwork on the shape of the truss rod cover and pick guard. A friend who is a leather worker then did the designs for me. She also mounted then on light aluminium to provide rigidity and a wee bit of shielding. This is the second Thunderbird she has down for me. She will do any design for any Bass or guitar.

Thanks for that, she does do great work. My other Thunderbird has Huginn and Muninn, Odin's ravens on its scratch plate and strap and Thor's Hammer (Mjölnir) on its Truss Rod Cover.

So, here is my new Thunderbird Classic IV Pro. She arrived yesterday. I got her in a trade for my Peavey T40. I'll miss the T40. However, this 'bird is for me. I really feel like this bass is much higher quality than the standard Epibird I used to own.

While shopping around and making a decision on which 'bird I wanted, I played the Tbird Pro, Tbird Classic Pro, and a Gibson Tbird. When I first got started, I really wanted a Tbird Pro in natural. I think they look fantastic. I just didn't find one that I thought sounded like what I wanted. Good basses, but tone wise they were not what I was looking for. When comparing the Classic Pro and Gibson Tbird... well.... I think the they sound VERY close. To my ears, they sound very, very close. The Gibson neck felt (although it may not be) bigger.

Very, very happy with this bass. Now... off to find a leather pick guard maker...
