  • There is no way to tell the year or the month it was made in the MIRC serial
  • Original serial numbers are usually defaced
  • Original warranty void
  • Sometimes the word "2nd" is stamped on back of headstock
  • MIRC specs can often be different from stock specs

Yep, I saw that too when I was searching for info. That's why I expected the original number underneath to be completely "defaced." Guess I got lucky I could still read the year and they only messed with the last few numbers on mine. And I have the 2nd stamp too. Thanks :thumbsup:

Update on my AW CP...
While I was waiting for the white & black sets of knobs to arrive, I fell outta love with the green carbon fiber wrap on PG. Today I re-did it with glossy black and ordered 2 other sets of knobs. Lol!
I'm partial to neon green so both sets will have some of that mixed in to add a bit of color. I'm sure they'll be here later this week.

That's a pretty classic look ya got goin' there! Both colors go with everything!:D

Some neon green coated strings could be fun. They'd pop right out against the white & black!

Sneak out for a go now and then.

When I picked up my Epi from layby, they had no box for it (of course). After some hunting around they found a Gibson Les Paul guitar box to fit it, packed it out with bubblewrap, taped it up and off I went ... back to work. The box went under my desk and for the entire afternoon, there were young blokes buzzing around 'oh it's a Gibson ... what sort of Gibson? ... we didn't know you play guitar ... oh it must be an acoustic guitar ...'

If you have a boot, that's a good place for it.
