Thunderbird Club

Did you record that before ya got the Vintage Ultra?

That's abdolutely clean through the old VT Bass DI with all EQ set at midnight (we're musicians, what's all this 'noon' bollox?) into a presonus i/f and garage band. When I recorded direct into the presonus it was really muffled sounding but that was probably incompetence on my part.

Noon schmoon is right. flat, my @ss!!!!

IIRC on the VTBDI, with the 'sansamp' circuit off, the EQ is still active. Theoretically it should have been flat with the EQ settings used. No settings were changed -- everything was the same berween basses.

What I want to do is do a comparison between amp/cab and the DG VU but a mic is pretty low on my list of priorities atm.
If you should feel so inclined at some point… I would love to hear your sound through the Vintage Ultra and it's 2 different stages

The thing with the VU is there is considerable difference in tone depending on whether the distortion circuit is on or off. It would benefit from an extra set of EQ controls for the 'clean' channel. I suppose that's why some people run multiple dirt pedals into each other. It doesn't bother me at all as when it's actually in use the distortion circuit is always on, therefore the EQ is set accordingly.

I am coming around to the idea that I don't want the VU inline when it's not in use. Simple enough to arrange although uneven spacing between pedals may trigger Larry!

Less of the 'vintage' thanks.

MegaUltraKat?

MUK!?!

Larry should be OK with the spacing, because the two smaller boxes together is proportionally sympathetic to the larger box by itself.

Good call, Will! I’m thinking you might have an eye for proper spatial relations.
