Thunderbird Club

A fair question, although we'd both agree harmonic richness and heft are never bad things to have. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Ultimately you can run a DI out pre EQ if you really want to clean it all up.

I couldn’t agree more there!

You're not doing a good job of selling me on the merits of an M6 down the track...

Ha! The M9’s were much more problematic than the M6’s though. Honestly, years ago, my Mesa rep sent me an M9 to try and never asked for it back, so I’m not out anything here. I paid artist pricing for the D800, which was a steal for what a great performing amp it’s been.

9:30 and you haven't left for the job yet? How late do you start these things? Further proof that I'm woefully inadequate to be a full time musician. :)

It’s 8:46pm in Nashville. The truck is packed, got clean clothes on and the 10:00 gig is less than 15 minutes from my house. No soundcheck, just load on as soon as the other band is off and get cracking until 2am. By the time we pack up, count money and shoot the breeze with the staff, I should be home by 3:00-3:30 am. Piece of cake:)

Color me sheepish. I thought Nashvillle was eastern standard.
Where I live, everyone assumes we are a suburb of NY city.
"Hey it must be awesome to catch all those Yankee and Jets games,
plus the Broadway shows." Um, that's 300 miles east of here.

Haha! I live about 8-9 miles north of downtown Nashville. Eastern time begins about an hour east of here

Kinda like living anywhere in Canada. "Must be cold in those igloos"
Nah, they stay pretty warm...

You see, this is what I would bookmark if it still worked with iOS.

Match the 2 volume levels I assume.
Thank you - and I looked up my info sheet.

Think I’ll get a shorter patch lead :)

Duke, earlier you said ‘Elvis face’ for graphic settings (as opposed to smiley face).
How does that look ?
I would be curious to know if the sneer is to the low mids or high mids side. I haven't decided - one way sounds good one day, the other way sound better other days.
