Awwww! That's so sweet! Hearts and Flowers for all!True. I have never encountered a pack of scurvier GAS-enabling ratbags.
They do everything well; I had a Yammie trombone that was a great horn for relatively little money. They don't seem to advertise other than a huge booth at Winter NAMM. Unless you were already familiar with the artists and their gear, how many would know Billy Sheehan, Nathan East and John Patittucci are Yammie endorsers? Those guys are MONSTERS in their genre. One of my favorite local Nashvegas bands, Shadow Horse, has a singer/guitarist that plays a bone stock Pacifica and says he's never had an issue with it over the course of gigging for several years. Maybe they just need to do a Thunderbird.I would say that it is more specific to guitars. Pianos/keyboards they are very well regarded. Guitars; almost unknown.
It's a weird thing that sometimes my fingers seem to work independently from my brain. That and bad eyesight is why I reserve the right to edit my posts for typos and occasional grammatical errors. Especially as this is an ongoing proof for the eventual best selling Thunderbird Club book.
That would make an excellent band name.Ok, Captain Literal and wretched hive of scum and villainy just struck a chord with me.
My stereo receiver is a Yamaha. Can't remember how long I've had it and it still works perfectly. I wish it had HDMI ports, but that's what a hub is for. They do everything well; I had a Yammie trombone that was a great horn for relatively little money. Fun little test earlier. ‘800 watts’ vs ‘200 watts.’

Ignore Jamie’s junkroom, aka ‘vintage finds’ in the background
OK Duke, I've got a good one for you. Unlike you, I often get mistaken for a Cello player. One bit of onstage patter I've been using since the Reagan administration is: "Hey everybody! I've got theLast nights gig...

And your findings were ... lemme see ... both sound good, but the 'cork sniffers' are definitely on to something?
Have you tried an A/B of the YBA and M9?
And me again...played Maiden after a long time. 3 basses (‘Bird, Peavey Patriot and P bass copy with few mods). Hope you like it.
Thanks. Got it from Home Depot.
Pummeled in what respect?Ok, wired the M9 into the equation...

Gain on every amp at 11 o’clock, master at noon. That’s not even sort of scientific because a lot tapers are different. The D800 has the most even taper and is usable all the way to max, but assuming noon is a decent enough yardstick...
M9 pummeled both of em and it wasn’t even close.

Pummeled in what respect?
Equalizers on amps always confuse me. Too much to have to think about.
Big power supply (D800), more watts (Traynor).
What about heft etc? ... I mean do the YBA and M9 both have similar depth and presence?
Do you turn on the equalizer on the M9? I saw there's a switch for it.Similar, yes. The M9 is a beast of an amp. I don’t tour with it much because their track record for reliability has been less than glowing. The little D800 has been bomb proof for a ton of 4 hour shows. I should ship the M9 back to have it looked at and get a clean bill of health, because it’s really a fantastic sounding amp. The low end is massive, but easier to dial than the Traynor, though the HPF has done wonders in that regard
