Hey guys, I know there has been some discussion about cases for the Vintage Pro Thunderbird. I have a older rectangular Epiphone Thunderbird case, outside dimension is 54" long and it fits just fine. I ordered a case from Musician's Friend (pictured was the rectangular case) and they shipped me the new tappered case. As far as I am concerned it's a no fit. It does "fit" in the case but the tuners and the tip of the headstock are pretty snug. It's going back.
Anyone have a older 54" Epiphone Thunderbird case for sale?

I have one you can have for the cost of shipping. I am in PA near Philadelphia. It has centipedes stenciled on it. Don't say you weren't warned. PM me if you want a picture before you decide. They are, in fact, little centipedes but they are there none the less.....

Ah, so that's why I didn't bond with the Ric. I have a shiny polyester shirt, not a puffy polyester shirt. It's all becoming clear now.

Can't get much cooler than shades, zip-up shirt, overcoat, and an aura of corrosive.

I have one, but it's not going anywhere. It fits 'Birds of all kinds, including the Fenderbird, better than any other case. That includes the Gibson cases, which let the bass flop around more than the old Epi case. It's almost worth buying an older Epi with a case, just for the case.

...there might be a good reason most bass players don't sing much.

That's my vocal ability right there. It doesn't stop me from making an attempt, but...
