How about a nice Two Point conversion

Mind you, this is a prototype

Looks good but wonder about the second (strings to bridge) interface with the back saddle/bridge rim. Technically it could further ground the bridge and soften the saddle-point I guess. What's the story behind it Mark?

That string contact on the back of the bridge doesn't any negative effect anything really, no buzz or rattle. This bridge has a greater string break angle over the saddle so sustain will be improved. The bridge uses double collar anchors like in this picture so it won't tip. Opps I just noticed in the picture the bridge is flush to the bass only way I could get the action down on this bass. NRs lol they are all different. You can clearly see the double collar though.

Is the new BadBird bridge only for the two side studs, or will it also accommodate the front stud as well?

Also does it come with drilled string holes at the back or is it only meant to be used in combination with the tailpiece?

The bridge is only meant to be used with the tail piece.

I used those on my Warmoth Bird. They are in the Cosmo Black finish tho, which is almost a transparent black.

Been wanting to put my epiphone thunderbird classic to c standard tuning, but im worrried the neck wont handle it. Thoughs?

My Epi IV and my Usta-Bea-Goth are tuned to Drop C, with Dunlop "heavier" Heavy Cores on the IV and "Heaviest" (I think the C string is a .125 or .130; its a cable) on the UBG. Required a slight tweak of the truss rod, but no issues with it. Sounds monsterifically thunderous, too.
