Thunderbird Club

I'm fine with the look, but I wouldn't put one on a Gibson because I'd be worried about casting an outline of the bridge onto the body.
There's already a definite color difference under the pickguard of my sunburst.

That being said, on an epi, I love them. Super easy to adjust and gives the back end a little more weight.

Looks better on certain colors too. Looks especially great on a Gothic (not mine, bit the supertone looks like it was made for it)

Not bad on white either :)

Anyone know where to get a gold 3-point bridge (other than the Supertone), or have one laying around like the one on the Epi Rumblekat?

I know it's gaudy, but I was thinking about giving one of my Alpine White birds a gold make-over, kinda like the Gibson Lzzy Hale Explorer or Epi Wildcat Royale:

how about the Babicz?

Exactly! And there's someone else bidding on this except me...

I just don't want to go into a bidding war with that other person. If he has a higher max than me, he will get it anyway - I just don't see the point in blowing up the price for that other person (or myself) - The only winner from this will be the seller...

Thanks, Larry!

My wife won't be pleased if I get it or even bid on it... So if I don't get it, there will be another...

My thought process went like this:

---Hmmm... that's a cool looking bass, great price too, potentially.

---I could get another wall hanger for the music room.

---I already have a couple of TBirds that don't get played at all.

---This would just be another bass that doesn't get played.

---The good weather has arrived and I have outdoor interests, mostly mountain biking.

---I might be able to get this bass shipped for $400!

---The "I really don't need" is outweighing the "I really want".

---Nope, not going to bid.

Good luck, Michael!

That's exactly why she will be displeased for me bidding on it...

I already have enough, I don't have a room to hang them on the wall, we're already looking for a house that will accommodate a studio, and the cost for shipping it to Denmark amounts to $ 150 - and then there's is Danish import taxes and 25% VAT (out of the total sum incl shipping)... :(

Better hope I not win this, and that one will turn up in Europe instead... ;)

:wideyed: You didn't bid and it went for $280 plus $25 shipping. :wideyed:

Erhhh... No, I actually won the auction! :)

I was kinda expecting the other bidder to snipe me in the last minute, but he didn't...

Now I just have to explain the missus I just bought another Thunderbird and have it shipped home as well.

Someone ain't gonna be happy... :P
