IT's just the pickups wired to the switch which in turn is wired to the jack output. PM me your email, i'll send you a pdf document of bass wire diagrams which includes the epiphone blackbird (which is pretty much the same thing).

Actually if anyone is interested in this document, PM your email, i'll be glad to send it. I had acquired it from someone long ago for i believe the gibson ripper wiring, and found myself using pretty much anything from fender and even finding my ibanez gaxb diagram (since it hadn't been wired correctly when it disconnected the first time). It's loaded with most of everything passive & active.

The only downside, it's in german, so unless you can read it, the words don't matter, it's really the diagram :D

hey @Andii Syckz actually, I am german, so no Problem there (that's why my Internet Explorer keeps making the first letters big ones.... that bastard...)

I know cadfaels wiring plans, always thought there were Fender basses only... so me sorry me stupid....

The three point hipshot has a recess for the 3rd stud anchor installed on the body. It actually only anchors from 2 points on the Supertone bridge. Id assume the 2 point doesn't have the recess. You could probably still use the 2 point, as long as the spacing is the same. You would however have to remove the old post anchor (the one closest to the bridge pickup).

I have no idea if you could use the bridge in place of a 3 point. I would email Hipshot and they could probably tell you for certain if they even use the same hole spacing or not.

The Hipshot site says this about the 2 Point SuperTone Bridge:

"A direct replacement unit for your pre-1973 Gibson 2 point bass bridge that uses your existing hole pattern"

Judging from the pictures it seems a 3 point SuperTone is higher than a 2 point SuperTone, and thus aimed at T-birds with the newer neck angle.
Also it appears the 2 point mounts the opposite way than the 3 point and also has shorter intonation length than the 3 point - So you might get into trouble with both string height and intonation by using a 2 point on a newer 'bird.

Here are both of them for comparison:

As you can see, the intonation screws go way past the 2 studs on the 3 point bridge - But only just marginally extend past the 2 studs...
