Thunderbird Club

I get your feeling that way but remember there was a period of no Skynyrd for awhile. Rossington and wife had a band for a time but Billy Powell was the one responsible for getting the survivors-and Johnny-back to being Skynyrd. Lots of groups have replaced 1 or 2 members and carried on. They just did it(involuntarily)in a more drastic way.
I saw them at the Hollywood Sportatorium in 77. Had to go with my older sister..:rollno:..Wlikeson played a Jazz all night..

Glad we are on this topic for when I saw them they had the big white ugly Peavey backline. I've heard they would use Marshalls behind the Peaveys and that Leon used SVTs only. Is that true? I've always really dug his tone and was wondering if anyone here knows of any other amps he may have used? I looked but it's hard to find anything online..

The Sportatorium? Wow! I never went there 'cause when it was going,I was working. All the film/video I've seen of Leon ,he was using a NR TBird like mine(or,more accurately, mine is like his). Not why I bought it,just happy coincidence.:D
