Thunderbird Club

 Well, I used to have a Blackbird, but let it go probably 8-9 years ago (I really wish I'd kept it!) so I'm not going to be able to give you a opinion, Andy @Nocturnal has at least one IIRC, and has probably played it much more recently! At the time I probably let it go as trade for a '76, but don't quote me on that!

Thank you very much for your comment. I would like for someone that loves Tbirds to give me their opinion of the Blackbird, instead of the ”All Tbirds suck, buy a Jazz” comments I usually see.

I think the tug bar is superior to a thumb rest. I play with my thumb a lot.
I use the pup for a thumbrest.

I put one of the aluminum scratch plates on my Epi Pro:
View media item 11511It actually is two pieces, the perforated, polished aluminum plate and a solid black plate. You could omit the black back plate and see the finish thru the perforations...
I rest my thumb on the neck pup ashtray. I'd wondered about the scratch plates. So they ARE 2 pieces. Cool!

Hey what bridge is that?

Mr. Dasson's BadBird Bridge.

That is very good looking !

Good question.
Until you lot started posting pics of Les Pauls again this morning I was thinking of a couple of posh birds. Mahogany body and through neck but with the face of the body veneered in Macassar Ebony finished with a black burst to hide the veneer edge. Gold hardware, bound neck worth real MOP inlay. Now you’ve got me off on a black Les Paul again

Both are good options. Not long before you came back to us, there were photos of a ‘posh bird’ that someone built in a comp in the luthier area. Bloody nice, more ‘inspired by birds’ than a direct copy but lovely nonetheless.

:spit:Thanks Goatboy! Go ahead, tempt me with something I can't have right now. You and Mr. Potato head (@theFixer), two enabling peas in a pod!:roflmao::D

With friends like you two, who needs enemas. ;)
If you send me those flower power twins, that'll at least clear up some space :D

Didn't think that's how the saying went... but thanks for clearing that up.

Well I gotta admit, I did fudge a little on the old saying. Certainly not implying that you or Fix are the butt of any joke:rolleyes:, just making a wise crack at your expense.

On a somewhat related note - what do you think of the rectum as a whole?
