My custom made LDB thunderbird bass. One of its kind and I don't think he wants to make another one. She's getting some work done and Ill post pics later, but its a great bass.
Is that first knob also a push button?

2 or 2.5 inches north of the neck pickup. With the pickups were they are, it sounds great, but they are a lot closer to the bridge than i am used to. Its very tight, but i need more organic lows that the preamp can't give me.That was my body but I never got around to the project. Glad to see that it turned out so nice!! Where are you having the third pickup installed?
I did move the rear pin up. Still tips.
+1 on this. I use a 3" leather strap and neither my SG special bass or my t bird dives due to the grip of the leatherCould you describe your strap? Material? Width?
I'm using standard strap button locations on all my 'Birds with a 2.5 inch wide strap. No issues. Could you rough up the backside of your strap to make it more grippy?
How do you like those double J's?My custom made LDB thunderbird bass. One of its kind and I don't think he wants to make another one. She's getting some work done and Ill post pics later, but its a great bass.
We played The Metta Room in Pt Angeles for two nights about a month ago - Much craziness, we made 2k each night plus a room the Red Lion.........Unbelievable, we are just a cover band. We're at 7 Cedars in Sequim (fantastic venue!) 7/18 I don't think we have anything booked in Aug. as of right now - if possible lets get together, come over and play a couple Thunderbirds![]()
Absolutely. That would be rad.

I am now the proud owner of Mike Lull T4 number 1. I was visiting the shop on Friday when I was in the area and played it a bit. Mike confirmed that it was his first Bird.

I've been slowly bouncing ideas around for a first build and these intrigue me. Good to gear you like em, did I catch you say youre thinking of adding a third pup?Very Nice. Tight in the mids... very clean.
