Heaven, but eat it close to prep time. They don’t age well. No good for packed lunches.According to my wife - cucumber sandwiches are where it's at. Never heard of a tomato sandwich, but I'll give it a try.

^ agree wholeheartedly ^Err, you're pulling my leg, surely?
With all the things Americans will fit between two slices of bread, it has never occurred to slice some tomatoes, season with the mearest hint of salt and a couple of grinds of black pepper?
If you wanna get fancy there's cheese and tomato, ham and tomato, cheese ham and tomato....
Well, you asked..
People who have not been here will never know cause you have to be here to find this stuff.
That said, a hamburger (the meal we market to the world) is nothing more than cooked tartar steak from Germany..
Re: Boxers being eternal puppiesWe’re (Australians) not British any longer, though some of us seem to act that way.
Boxers are eternal puppies aren’t they?
Yes, I’m hoping to live long enough to swoop !
Sure is. I kept planting Bromeliads in a little garden area I was trying to establish. Our Maltese kept popping it out and trying to shred it all over the lawn. I gave up before Pippin did.
Now Poor Pippin is planted in that garden, but pretty much nothing else.
Sounds fair, unless it is a ‘Desert Pizza’.
Had one at Yamba when the bride and I were dating. Bacon and Banana from memory. It was a dare, but I had a go and it was actually alright.
Huge old thing. What an inspiring ‘multicultural’ story.

Sign me up. Epiphone Thunderbird IV. My first dance into the TBird world. So far, loving the tone of this bass! My only gripe is the low tension E string. Not sure what the gentleman before me put on here, but the action is great so I'm afraid to change the strings to something like a set of 50-110. Any suggestions? Hard to get a proper luthier to set it up, closest is about an hour away.
If anyone has any experience with these, I would love to hear your thoughts..

Like?Oooh! I can. Hot peppers of all kinds are my idea of a good thing. I like spicy a whole lot more than I like sugar. But, there are things you don't want to do after handling habenaros.

Never seen that before, it's a good flag
There's been a lot of grim stories about dog breeding on the TV over here recently, it's not always a very ethical business for want of a better termI did not know that, nor do I want to.
Raw pizza!Tomato sandwiches? Now you're talking.

You noticed that too! Wonderful place, never a cloud in sightIt looks so bright and sunny!

Where do you think the dish Columbus sausage came from? (not to be confused with Columbus salami which is a brand)Yikes! The Europeans were eating Columbus? No wonder he got outta town on a boat!

HonestlyThis is amazing, ham cheese and tomato are like staple over here, although I'm not a tomato fan they are a must have ingredient in a butty, example the BLTYou have NEVER had a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich? Get away!

The burger is what most people I know think the main American meal is. I suppose I always imagined lots of meat in everything. Chilli is another food I associate and grits and cornbread, stuff we see in films. Other than that the impression is you eat a lot of Italian food.I hope not. I'm really curious what other people around the world, consider to be "American food", beyond the realm of the burger/sandwich.
