On the regular reverb listing it says sold but if you go to the "Copper Chord" listing it's still there(right now, anyway)

Anyone remember these? Pseudo Gibson Mudbucker, 7ender P split and Ricky bridge all neatly wrapped up in one package!....

I have the same model. The only real complaint that myself and other players of the same model share fairly consistently, is the tuning machines. IMHO... everything else is based solely on your own tastes/preferences. Mine had been experimented on by the previous owner, so I had to replace the pots & wiring. When I did that, I chose to refinish it, and rewire it volume/blend/tone instead of V/V/T. When I can, I intend to put a HipShot SuperTone on it. I'm very pleased with the stock pups, and have no intention of swapping them. Honestly... I'll encourage you to take some time & get to know it before you start throwing money at it. You might save yourself some dough

I actually don't seem to have any issue with the tuners on it, they keep in tune and don't rattle. Weird. Lol
I bought a pack of kitchen sponges. They were about the correct width and thickness and cut a strip off the end. I put it under the strings up near the bridge on my ‘Challenge’. Hidden by the bridge cover. Pretty cool effect on the sound, it’s even more “the thumpin’ stick” now. I’ll try some flats on it one day.

Yes. I like the maple fretboard and triangle headstock of the Grabber but never cared much for the sliding pickup idea (IMO the G3 was because a lot of players didn't either) . I have no real problem with the bolt on neck but I have always thought that a set neck with the Ripper pups and electronics would be "Best of Both Worlds".
My brother-in-law had one of those back in the day, actually a very cool bass.
Chris Squire also used one from time to time.
Do you have any of the FX modules for it?
Not 100% sure, I traded for it from another gentleman. Is there a way to check?

I didn't have any problems with the tuners on the first bolt-on or second bolt-on. Both are/were earlier Korean ones, with cast neck plates and baseball bat necks.

More weirdness to follow. Looks like the surf band thing will happen. Surf music is OK up to a point, but eventually I-IV-V with tremolo is just I-IV-V over and over again. That means doing something I don't do, namely play guitar, to avoid boredom. The Telebird will be getting a baritone neck and then get tuned B-b. If that doesn't foul me right up, nothing will. It also means I'm going to have a good time with the Bigsby, switching from playing it like a tic-tac bass and then going up the neck to do other things. It may suck. But I don't care! I'll probably play a real 'Bird about half the time. Maybe the P-Bird, maybe the bolt-on 'Bird. It hasn't got out much lately.
It's an old Electra Outlaw bass. They had tone modules you plugged in from the back.. The southern rock band The Outlaws were sponsored by Electra.

Mine’s an ‘08 Korean bolt-on & the tuners are junk. They were equally as junky on the Goth I had before it. It appears we have different ideas regarding baseball bat necks too. IMO... the KoBo neck is a “baseball bat” only when compared to a standard T-bird neck. Compared to a baseball bat... not so much
