Not mine. On sale on Reverb for like 1100.
It's pretty nice, but nowhere near janky enough. I need to find some kind of repurposed television set or odd Japanese longwave radio transmitter amplifier or something.
I think mine might be an '06. It's 1-3/4" wide and round. That's baseball bat enough for me.
To cool. That’s what it’s all about, jank>fank>mojo. Maybe not in that order.
something like this?
As I eagerly await the eventual arrival of the VP I ordered from a Guitar Center on the other side of the continent, it occurs to me I will need a case. How long is the VP? Epiphone doesn't publish the overall length on their website and I've tried searching this thread as well as rest of TB.
There is an Epiphone TB4 on CL locally that someone has converted to fretless. It includes a case and the bass would make a good donor for a Fenderbird project. It looks like a Yorkville case in the pictures, but will it fit?
or this Marshall PA power amp?
Mine’s damnear 1 3/4” (1.71”), but it’s kinda flat-ish on the back & not all that thick (unfortunately). That Gretsch has opened a new world to me though. I can get away with a thinner neck when I’m rockin’ a short scale! This opens up a lotta possibilities for me
Maybe an EB for you my friend.
Epi doesn't offer a case?
I'm not actually using the Marshall yet. It runs, but needs a cap job and general going over. But I am thinking it might be fun if I need more power than the PF-50T sometime!
Have it a go over. It'll be worth it.
And to have that Marshall as a a stand alone bass amp....
They do, but they are $265 USD.
It's a power amp only.
Got it, goes to show how much i know.
Well it's a pretty rare beast - how would you know that?
Yeah if I can get a donor body and case for $200 CAN, that's a little easier to swallow.
Try reverb or ebay for a used one or go w/ a custom. More $ but ATA flight rated.
