Did you see the Sunn Sonic I-40 60w tube bass amp on Reverb? Might go with your "bass cab" project. It's still listed in the section of"Copper Chord Music" clearance sale(as of 7:05)
It's pretty nice, but nowhere near janky enough. I need to find some kind of repurposed television set or odd Japanese longwave radio transmitter amplifier or something.

Mine’s an ‘08 Korean bolt-on & the tuners are junk. They were equally as junky on the Goth I had before it. It appears we have different ideas regarding baseball bat necks too. IMO... the KoBo neck is a “baseball bat” only when compared to a standard T-bird neck. Compared to a baseball bat... not so much:meh:
I think mine might be an '06. It's 1-3/4" wide and round. That's baseball bat enough for me.

As I eagerly await the eventual arrival of the VP I ordered from a Guitar Center on the other side of the continent, it occurs to me I will need a case. How long is the VP? Epiphone doesn't publish the overall length on their website and I've tried searching this thread as well as rest of TB.
There is an Epiphone TB4 on CL locally that someone has converted to fretless. It includes a case and the bass would make a good donor for a Fenderbird project. It looks like a Yorkville case in the pictures, but will it fit?

Mine’s damnear 1 3/4” (1.71”), but it’s kinda flat-ish on the back & not all that thick (unfortunately). That Gretsch has opened a new world to me though. I can get away with a thinner neck when I’m rockin’ a short scale! This opens up a lotta possibilities for me:D:hyper:

Epi doesn't offer a case?
