Thunderbird Club

Then these shiny red ones must be all closet queens cause you never see them for sale. Only I ever saw come up for sale, I bought.

You are right about the red ones not showing up for sale that often (currently there’s one locally to me, though). The Pelham Blue ones seem to pop up more frequently .

That's how we started on BBQ sauce. Martin Turner mentioned BBQ sauce to deaden Rotos in an interview years ago..

The first run of Bach Birds was a total of 30 I believe. Whatever the number was, it was very low. Mine came from the second (thin bodied) run. I would be surprised if Bach even hit 100 pieces before they stopped building them.

There is a cherry red Bach on eBay for a good price. The seller is a guy some of us know from the LBO and a good dude. These don't turn up often and this one is less $$ than I sold my ebony model for.
Was your Ebony the one in the recent pics with the cool PG?

A couple weeks ago @theFixer and a couple others asked for a pic of my other hobby - cars, specifically Porsche cars. Well I was cleaning the garage yesterday and had to back em out, so here's a pic of three in the driveway (need a bigger driveway to get the fourth one in)...

Needless to say, my wife likes my bass habit better, it's a lot cheaper. ;)

How’s the Cayman ? That’s probably the one I’d go for (but that’s not happening really)

From left to right - Cayman S, Boxster S, 1997 911 Carrera.
The old 1970's turbo Carreras also called 930's are a serious handful of fun. When that turbo kicks in you better be pointed in the right direction, they were to referred to as widow makers for a reason. They've also skyrocketed in price. An all original 1977 911 Turbo with 100,000 miles runs about $150,000, wish I had bought one about 15 years ago. The big appreciators in the Porsche line these days are the 993 models (1995 to 1998 911 Carreras).

Yeah, that Cayman rules!!!

Right you are. 930 was the more popular name. This is it what it looked like;
I didn't care much for the oversteer (mildly put) much..based on the Czech Tatra design, a vehicle responsible for wiping out numerous German officers for the same reason.. Wish Porsche would have marketed the 916 more seriously..
