Thunderbird Club

So, find an engraver and have them put on the truss rod cover:

Look at the picture.
If that isn't enough explanation
you don't deserve to play this.

Should just fit...
I happen to agree with you, but if the builder of the bass would like to see an engraved truss rod cover, that's a way to accomplish it. They would engrave a TRC that she provides, and she would bring it home & put it on the bass...

So this just popped up on my local FB marketplace. It LOOKS like a Epiphone TBird Pro based on the knobs and silver pick ups. I asked the gentleman selling and he said it was a standard, not sure.. 200$ seems fair though, especially if it is a pro. What do you guys think? I have been dying for a white bird, this one looks silver but I assume it could just be the lighting on the pictures.

EDIT: Is it a Epiphone TV Silver Thunderbird? Limited run wasnt it?

Correct, it is a TV Silver. Looks stock. Not a Pro.

Glad to see we're continuing the theme of shoes in the pix!;)

I had never seen a TV Silver. Looks like a pro without a white pg like on a pro. Do they share the same pick ups as a pro or is it the standard pick ups with different covers?

I'm not certain if the P/Ups are the same as you'd find in a standard Epiphone Thunderbird IV but what I do know is that they are not the P/Ups you'd get in either the Classic Pro or the newer Vintage Pro models.

I owned the TV Silver and sold it.

I believe those Epi pups with the bezels and covers are different from the standard Epi TB IV pups. I'm sure @hillerup can advise.

Doesn't Dorothy have those same pups Lar?

No, I do not believe they are. It’s like you said in this post that I quoted of yours.

I don’t think they are the same with just chrome covers and bezels. Different shape and size.

This is good. This is VERY good! IMO... the dragon inlay should be rotated 90 degrees back to it's original position to better suit this headstock design... but this is still my fav, by a large margin:

If it has a case, buying it is pretty much mandatory.
