Thanks. The courts were quite new at the time (building styled after the light of a light house) and I liked the contrast to the decrepit port-authority(?) building and the rusting trestle bridge connecting the two.

Edit - in the original scan, there is a lot of detail in the shingles, walls, and boarded windows that doesn't show up in smaller files. It would show if I ever made a print 30"+ wide.

This is intriguing. How much hotter are the Greco's? I'd have to pull out the CB's in mine, but if iirc, the bridge pup is like 9 point something. Last time i looked.

Yeah, I purchased the 9.2k as well. I know the CBs are AlNiCo, not sure what the Grecos are (I'm guessing the same), but they definitely are hotter. I don't think I have the right tools to take a reading, but @TBird1958 might know. My guess would be up near 12k at least? I would think that hotter winding also gives them their darker characteristic, and less top end. Maybe I should have gone with the 8k version, see if those are even brighter.

Yeah, that looks around where mine is set as well, as I said the Greco sat flush with the ring, and gave about the same volume, definitely hotter.

Did a country club gig today, 5-8 P.M. Outside gig in south FL in June. Had maybe 10 people listening and they went back in the bar where it was cooler and the booze was closer. They liked us but not the heat. Waste of time but at least we got paid. Management wants us back but indoors next time.

Just to the right of there down an alley is the most amazing kebab shop ever. Never thought I'd say this but those kebabs are the best food in Venice or at least outside of a hotel or if you head down towards Via Garibaldi where the locals hang out more

Very cool town. Love going there especially in Feb for Carnevale. Always wanted to go to Poveglia but could never convince a gondoliere to take me there for less than 200 Euro. Rides down the grand canal are now 80 Euro. Prices have shot way up in Venice recently..

We love Venice, it makes a very nice weekend break at minimal cost especially during the winter months when it's quiet. Never been for Carnevale, why I ask myself? We usually get a water bus ticket for a day to get about, usually just up and down the grad canal or to Murano (I love that place!) or Lido on a nice day. Can't say as I'd ever heard of Poveglia, I had to look it up, can't you get there from Lido?

Only been on one gondola in 2013 when we took my mum after dad died, she loved the ride, it was a Sunday morning and the church bells were ringing everywhere. That trip was the only time we got a water taxi to take us back to the airport, it was one of the wooden ones, that was pretty cool

It's a medium sized airport, just the one terminal but typically Italian, nice shops etc. It can be a bit exposed on landing being right on the edge of the lagoon, we've had a couple of interesting landings there in cross winds. Getting to Venice from there is simple, either a bus from outside the terminal or a 10 minute walk to the dock where you can either bet a water bus or taxi to either Rialto of San Marco (or at least that's the only ones we have got off at). All in all it's pleasant enough for an airport.

Regarding the walk to the dock, one time we were there we met John Malckovich walking back with his family, his kids piled into us so we had a big apology from him and a quick chat about travelling with kids and an autograph for Wendy

It probably doesn't need to be said here yet again but just in case anyone has complaints about sustain on their Thunderbird like I did...

I replaced the standard 3 point bridge on my Black Bird with a Hip Shot 3 point and the sustain improved immensely, I feel like it at least doubled. Huge difference, easy to install, easy to set up.
