@Gaolee the EB nickel slinkys arrived, they sound good on the acoustic, very poppy and lively, i like them, thank you for the recommendation
Never changed strings on an acoustic before, neat idea those pins. The battery on my Snark tuner has gone flat sometime this weekend so last year I'd ordered a couple of cheapos from Reverb as backups so I pulled one out. Turns out the damn things are as dyslexic as I am, reading B....C.....E, slack off and go slowly C....C#....E. Guess where they are now? Clue, it's round and we keep it on the floor

Maybe I'm weird, but I cannot STAND Pink Floyd. The "classic rock" stations play the hell out of them, and I just don't get it. Just like The Doors, I detest them too. I really, really tried to like them. As a consumer of fine herbage I kinda felt like it was a requirement for me to like PF, but I could never get down with them. I mean no offense to anyone who doesn't agree, but in my book, Pink Floyd sucks. There, I said it.

You're not alone! Slade, Mott The Hoople, ACG for me! Pink Floyd? ZzzzzzzzzzzzzIt just never hit the right button for me - I was all about Slade, T-Rex, Bowie, Alice Cooper when I was young. That and PF got played to death on FM and every keger/party that I went to. At least the bands I was in didn't want to play any

I'm with you on that, if i were able to make it happen, i'd be outta here. The States that is.
I'd have to agree, as much as i like Portland, Seattle is the place to be if living in the states.
Morro Bay is not to bad either.
I'm wondering if whoever had repainted it, just taped the pickups & painted over top. See the ridges in the pictures. If i were anywhere near there, i'd take it, strip it, & refinish completely. Swap the pickups for some Thunderchinas & wire to a killswitch with two volumes. If the wood under looks good, i'll just stain/seal in clear satin, if not, i'll repaint in all white, probs deck out in chrome hardware, or just black enamel the pickups.

Yup, as much as I like Gilmour's playing, Waters IS Pink Floyd..Would have been interesting had Barrett not lost his marbles...
I want to go rescue it, but I have my "educational" loaner basses and the high school's upright coming back to me this week, so the bass count at my place will soon be at an all time high.
