Thunderbird Club

Floyd with Barrett was a much different aspect in music than Floyd post Barrett. Even post Syd, but pre-dark side, floyd was a mega melange of both aspects. I guess i've got 3 albums that sum up my getting into each 'era' floyd.

Echoes is one hell of a trip.

Then Post Dark side:

After listening to animals, I went backwards, discovered the above two & everything in between, after. Post Waters, etc.

Anything is possible, maybe they were melted down & cast into a make shift gibson ground plate for the control cavity :p
An album I've always like is "Obscured by clouds" it just reminds me of hot mornings in summer

I love the Animals record. I love the story of the pig. Hypnosis did not want to pay a sharpshooter (just in case the pig came untethered) the second day of photoshoots so of course, the pig comes undone and into the flight path of a BA incoming flight to which the pilot said to the tower "there's a pig flying in my path..."
Ironically to pig deflated and landed in a pig farm! Can't write this stuff...

Im pretty sure I got that before I reached the "sucks" part. Thats just a blatent attack, nothing less. If this club is now resorting to that type of communication its time for me to go on hiatus.
I'm glad you're here, and I miss you when you're gone, but please don't take one comment from one member and apply it to the club. Part of what makes this the greatest club on TB, is the fact that we are generally a little looser here, and can feel a little more free to speak without fear that every word that's spoken, will be used against us in some way. UncleJack's been cool, and unless there's something going on that I don't know about... I kinda doubt that he set out to personally attack you. I'm not saying you're wrong for feeling the way you do. I'm just saying, it's the first time I've seen a posting like this from him. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt that it was not an attack, but just an unfortunate choice of words. This place has a way of weeding out bad apples for itself.:)

Maybe I'm weird, but I cannot STAND Pink Floyd. The "classic rock" stations play the hell out of them, and I just don't get it. Just like The Doors, I detest them too. I really, really tried to like them. As a consumer of fine herbage I kinda felt like it was a requirement for me to like PF, but I could never get down with them. I mean no offense to anyone who doesn't agree, but in my book, Pink Floyd sucks. There, I said it.:roflmao:
Musta been too many sticks and seeds in your ruffage. ;)
Seriously, I get it, PF isn't for everyone, just like Rush isn't for everyone. The important thing is to not waste your ruffage on things that you don't gel with. Find a good sound and smoke em if ya got em!:thumbsup:
