Thunderbird Club

LOL
From an olfactory perspective:
Things you SHOULD NOT do if company is expected in your house...
1. Boil cabbage
2. Boil shrimp
3. Track dog poop in the house
4. Slice open a durian fruit
5. Try to mask any of the afore mentioned odors with copious amounts of scented air freshener.

Things you SHOULD do if company is expected in your house...
1. Bake bread
2. Bake tollhouse choclate chip cookies
3. Cook any Itiallian meal you want (as long as it doesn't require boiling shrimp or cabbage)
4. Place a large bouquet of fresh cut flowers in the house near the entry way.
5. Open the Gibson hard case that came with your new Thunderbird

Feel free to add to the list!
If you're baking fresh bread when visitors are expected I'll be round on Friday:)

I love the smell of fresh coffee too especially in the morning and I love Fettuccine cavalo bollito :roflmao:

Had to use google translate for that :roflmao:

Have you seen this for Gods sake? cure for a Gibson

Can you imagine Lemmy on stage telling the crowd "this bass is so heavy and it neck dives something awful! I need to sit down for five minutes for a rest" :roflmao: or Entwisle saying "Rodger,Pete, Kieth stop for five minutes this fenderbird weighs a ton" :whistle: Or large notices at a Skynyrd concert "will the front two rows beware, Leon's bass is prone to neckdive, please use the safety helmets provided!" Then all three deciding the way forward was to screw a dildo to the top of the bass!?!? :banghead:

Can you tell this really bugs me? :roflmao:

Do both ends need batteries? Our longest set has been 100 minutes, would the batteries last through that?
Will Probably last 100 minutes easily. Only the transmitter needs batteries. I also put some tape over the battery door as the latch is not robust. Even with these nits, the G30 is still a great system. I can go way out front during sound checks, etc., with no perceived signal drop.

Must be you shamed them into pulling down the pics. When I click your links, I'm redirected to a "file not found" page:chicken:

So it has, best thing for it too, honestly it looked like a Grabber with an adult toy attached to the upper horn to extend the strap button. Honestly it looked ridiculous to avoid bad language, the owner would have looked a right, well, knob going on stage with that!

HAH!!! It'd be funny as hell if TB pulled the pics due to "inappropriate content":roflmao:

Quick question for those with black plastic covered tb+ equipped birds. Do y'all generally set your pickups up parallel to the body? My LP special came with the pickups higher on the E string side. Thoughts?

Mine all have the E string side higher. They were all set up by different people as well so I assume it's the nature of the beast, so to speak.

I think it was 1991 when a buddy of mine was listening to WIDR, the "college" station from Western Michigan University. The DJ announced that he was going to play something new that he could only describe as "Motorhead meets Jan & Dean". I don't recall the specific track they played, but it was from this album, which has remained a favorite of mine ever since (Danny McCormack switched back & forth between a T-bird and a P-bass).

@Nocturnal and @Larry V I think you'll dig it:cool::thumbsup:

(P.S.) don't assume every song will sound the same at the end, as it does at the beginning;)

<edit>

I had to add this one. It's just too much fun!:bassist::hyper::bassist:
