One of the plusses I didn't expect when going to digital wireless (Line 6 G30) was that the digital system transmits a wider frequency range than the cable does, and I ended up with a nice high end sparkle to my sound that wasnt there with cable alone. And, I wasn't getting that cable rolled around my leg and tripping myself anymore, which alone is worth the price of admission.

Things you SHOULD NOT do if company is expected in your house...
1. Boil cabbage
2. Boil shrimp
3. Track dog poop in the house
4. Slice open a durian fruit
5. Try to mask any of the afore mentioned odors with copious amounts of scented air freshener.


Things you SHOULD do if company is expected in your house...
1. Bake bread
2. Bake tollhouse choclate chip cookies
3. Cook any Itiallian meal you want (as long as it doesn't require boiling shrimp or cabbage)
4. Place a large bouquet of fresh cut flowers in the house near the entry way.
5. Open the Gibson hard case that came with your new Thunderbird

I don't like cabbage at the best of times but what kind of person said "I I know, shall we have boiled cabbage again for tea, we had it last week and it was lovely, smelled so good!"?

One other thing I found out about the G30 (and since it works with the cheapest unit its gotta work with the more expensive ones too) is that I was able to get a second transmitter from EBay. IIRC it was $114. I set up my backup bass with its own transmitter so if I needed to change basses I just turned off the transmitter I was using, hung the bass on the super cool Hercules double stand, turned on the back up transmitter, whipped up the volume and get back to work.

G30 is very good. I have two and use like Haji. But put in new batteries for every gig. Turn off between sets. And carry extra batteries. Very hungry.

I rehearsed with my gig rig so it was much easier to run the wireless. I always put in new batteries in both for shows and just used those up in the rehearsals that followed. I also don't store those batteries in the transmitter. Even top quality batteries are cheap in comparison to the cost of the other stuff you play with.

Do both ends need batteries? Our longest set has been 100 minutes, would the batteries last through that?
