I don't know that it is an after-market bridge. Perhaps trying to adjust intonation and string spacing in one elegant maneuver?
Funny it got by in that case. Hey, stupid stuff actually happens every day. Kinda fun to get a break from normal-and-expected from time to time!

It’s been years since I played that bass with a band. As I remember, once the Chromes aged and lost their brightness, it was too dark sounding. I’m going to put on a set of roundwounds and try it out.
When did they make that? Or did they?

Chad and Jeff are really into Thunderbirds, I enjoy visiting with them a lot.

Gene Simmons bass, a one of I believe. I can't remember if Gibson made it special or if it is a modded bass. A couple replicas out there as well.
