The material in question is called Rocklite Sundari. The makers have informed all the customs people whoever they are and provided them with information about it and how to tell the difference. All is as they say kushtie.

Just want to say how really cool it is that you would take your daughter to a show (of any kind), my father didn't like any of my music and was not supportive of it - anyway, just sayin' that's very nice of you.

Thanks! I try to keep an open mind about the modern pop stuff she likes and I’ve taken her to a few pop stadium shows. She likes rock, but this was a new experience and now she really wants to get a rock band together.

I’m with TBird. I think getting kids into the arts, regardless of the medium. Is always a good thing. There a lots of things in the world parents want, or not want their kids to be exposed to. But with a little caution and guidance, it can turn out to be a very positive thing.

That certainly sounds like a plausible scenario. These synthetic fretboards are a young science... but not a new one. It would be interesting to speak to someone who's actually put one through the system...

In all seriousness though, if it plays well why not paint it? You could get a cool effect over spraying with a transparent colour almost like a candy apple, or wear something red yourself like a blood splattered tee shirt type thing. It already looks OK, you're just being self conscious because of me teasing you. Look at the pics when you're sober (if ever)

Ya know... it occurs to me... they're doing miraculous things with vinyl these days too. He could have a complete wrap done, and the original factory finish would remain completely unscathed

The small ball of light is Luna Park amusement park at Milsons Park. Nearly under the north side of the bridge.

This city does my head in, and I often want to move. But when I get in to the Quay, and around the Bridge & Opera House... I just love it again.

Ok. It’s settled. The wife and I are doing a UK and Ireland thing next year in July. I’m working on her to agree to an Oz, NZ trip in 2020 or ‘21. Keep posting; I’ll use your posts as part of my sales presentation.

It’s near impossible to control what kids are exposed to, so we’ve done our best to teach our daughter critical thinking and to “think before you act”.
She is definitely an arts person!

I was thinking about that the other day. There are a lot of creative possibilities. Any idea about what it takes to set up to create vinyl wraps?

Dads can be funny. Mine fought with me when I blasted Sabbath, Bowie, you name it. He barely tolerated my fascination with Yes and Genesis. But he was supportive in his own way. When I was twelve, he took me to a used amp store in LA and bought me a beat to hell Bassman 50 and 2x12 cab (with a wonky speaker). When I started playing again five years or so ago, a Fender bar stool showed up on my doorstep. I’ve tried to pass it forward, but neither of my kids are interested in playing. They do go to shows with us once in awhile though.

To create them? No. If your interested in having one done, the first place I'd send you, would be to your local hot rod shop (I gotta buddy who has a Porsche 911 with a "Winter Digi-Cam" wrap. Absolutely amazing)! You can also check with your local sign/banner shop.

I hope you were smarter than me and kept that Bassman. I had 2 and sold them when I got outta the biz for awhile. They'd be worth about 5K now

Pfffft. Hobby only, don't play out and i have 6 basses kicking round and I still think that I probably need* another bird or two. I mean really, I need one tuned BEAD and another back up one tuned BEAD just in case.




*need - a profound feeling of emptiness that can only filled with gear.
