Thunderbird Club

You'll need to join this club and get a number before we can tell you :roflmao:

A bumper is the British English name for a fender on a car so a Fender is a Bumper, or a 7ender

Little known fact about Bumpers, P basses were used as paddles in the opening sequence of the old cop show Hawaii 5-0

I dunno, I had a '73 P Bass (Ash body, maple neck) and it was more of a lovelessly assembled boat anchor. :roflmao:

Chevy v. Ford
Black dress v. Blue dress
Single shooter v. multiple shooters
Gibson v. Fender

I got back to the states last night and have already checked out and played the new T-Bird (brand new Gibson Ebony) and it sounds a lot better than my old one. Have they changed the pickups since maybe 2005? I really like it a lot in fact, has all kinds of bottom, the action is a little high for my taste and once I figure out how to adjust the action I'll fool around with it:laugh: (same as the old bridge?), not sure if Like the strings yet, so far meh. but over all I really like it, neck is nice and straight, need to oil the fretboard, is dry and I'm not sure if I got the Lull pickups yet, I've got a WHOLE lot of mail to go through. Anyway, I'm happy and am going to go play it right now through my 67 Fender Bassman which I left set up in my bedroom (wife is forgiving as long as I let her have her big giant TV in the bed room). So anyway, further reports especially once I get the Lull pickups in and then I'll post a picture and try to wrangle a number for the club. Hopefully I can get mine to sound as good as 1958T-Bird's (a little shameless written bribe:laugh:), and everyone else's that I've heard here too.

Maybe true, but our very own Carlo @Dadagoboi improved the design considerably...

His basses were used on the Puffa Puffa Rice cereal commercial IIRC...

@Kriegs just look at all the "priceless" knowledge you can obtain hanging out in this club. I can assure you, we have an answer for any question you might have and technical solutions for problems that don't even exist yet!;)

:roflmao: That was definitely used in the commercial.

Vox made some shapes didn't they? Our singer has a Vox teardrop guitar, thankfully it spends most of the time on its stand :roflmao: To be fair it actually sounds great (when our guitarist plays it!)

I had a small screen tv, so I didn't notice that.

Is there some pyramid scheme thing going on that I'm missing? Do you get cash for each new member or some sort of credit for swallowing a new soul? You guys are relentless!
