Thunderbird Club

I'm back in bed as my foot has started hurting again :( Happy letting Youtube flick through tunes in the background, this just came on and the vintage bass sound caught my attention :)

<3
This was one of the first songs where the bass part grabbed me as much as the guitar. Even though I could no more play like Bruce than I could Clapton, I could play enough of the bass bits on guitar that the song was recognizable. Why couldn't I figure out then that I'd do better on bass? Probably because nobody I knew paid attention to bass players, and I was riddled with insecurities.

You'd love me and my cable then :roflmao:
I lost my pic of my pedalboard. I'll snap another... BRB...

:D...

I like it. The gain and volume interact in a way similar to the GK thing- lo gain and hi vol for clean and shiny... hi gain and watch-the-volume for 'darker', woofier tones.
Eq is active +/-, and though not as surgical as the TE graphic, has a similar baked-in sound which I like.
It's got convincing heft, seems to make its own hear-able sonic space in a mix. Great big lows, pushy mids and a nice ear-smacking top end are all pretty impressive to me.

Little booger's got all the basics: Effective enough eq, dynamics from the gain stage (incl a compression function at high settings), DI and headphone jack for quiet ptactice, if you practice stuff amplified, which I really don't, but hey.
Do you feel like it "sounds like a Trace", or is it a departure for them? ... and what are you pushin' with it?

Great story!
How do you like the EB with the 18" flip top? Is it a good pairing or is it too Woolley?
I wouldn't say it gets too wooly, it feels immersive, and sounds like Cream...
But if you ask someone who is a Gibson hater... you know... those people that dime the treble and and scoop the lows on their amps... they'd probably find it WAY TOO WOOLY! :roflmao:

The same as mine but I daren't use pedals in these :roflmao:: Forgive the tights, potential stage wear and I have lost weight since then too thankfully :)

I know, they are in a bag in the drawer, I'll never wear them, I bought two pairs, one silver and one gold. The skirt is stage wear, I don't wear anything that short normally :)
