Yeah, its really annoying. Im pretty sure there are several threads (mostly builds) I liked that I've stopped following because the notifications stopped and I either forgot about them or couldn't find them againIt happens to me all the time! Very frustrating to say the least. You have no idea how pissed I am that I couldn't snipe that Pelham Blue TBird that Michael posted up back a few pages ago. That thing sold for about $230! I totally missed it because I thought the page had gone silent for a few days and this morning I decided to check in. Sure enough, I wasn't getting notifications.
LOL - figured someone would take a swing at it! Almost put in my original post that I toss my cookies on a daily basis but figured that it might upset the bolhemic crowd.

I've been reading this thread for a while, and I like to share my story with you
Short story: I've started to learn playing bass 9 years ago. My first bass was a Squier P-Bass, but after two years I changed it to an SX Jazz Bass. Really loved the tone, and the feel of the Jazz.
Today I got a call from my friend, who works at a local guitar shop. He said that something special has arrived to the shop, and I must have a look at it. So I went to the shop and guess what, a black Epiphone Thunderbird Goth was hanging on the wall. I'll be honest, I tried to play once on an Epiphone Thunderbird IV Pro, but it was uncomfortable for me. Didn't like the neck, nor the sound of that bass. But since I was there, I gave it a shot.
The bass was looking good, all original condition. Made in Korea 2004 October. And had a very nice price tag. Only the strap button was moved behind the neck. The black finish was nice, and the strings were new Ernie Ball Slinky's. So I plugged it in, turned on the volume, and I was blown away: it felt much comfortable than my Jazz, and it even sounded brighter. Fell in love with it in 2 minutes

I don't know why, but this bass changed everything. Even my wife said, it looks and sounds much better than every bass I owned before

...that Pelhan Blue would've been mine.
It would've showed up at the house and I'd say it was a bargain and she'd say that's good. She knows I'll at least break even or make money on my basses so they're just money hanging on the wall that I get to play with. She trusts my judgement which is key.
