Where can I get a listen? Anyhoo, I’m new to the whole thing and I’m trying to figure out 3rd party plugins. Basically I want to get a virtual drummer but do it on a budget.....So free would be good! Hopefully one that would play to my bass line and not have to be programmed?
I don’t know that this will help but maybe get your cab up off the floor a bit? It helped me.
Hear that...the Cooper House was Santa Cruz's cultural epicenter...they now reopened it and it's called Abbot Square. I've played there a few times at the outside patio. Not the same but pretty cool... great wood fired pizza joint there now..

I did get to see my old band play there @ (Cafe Pergolesi) right before it closed. Have you ever, dare I say, played the old Surf Bowl? I know it’s called the Boardwalk Bowl now.
Of course! and Skinny's and The Comber, Brookdale, La Salsa (long gone but awesome when there), don quixotes (now Flynn's)...all of those dives...Henfling's is shut now. The live music thing is really heating up around here, folks are fed up with DJ's and because of the valley's yuppyfing effect on SC and more folks are moving here, more bars are opening and they need more than a DJ to draw customers. Good thing...Yes I’ve been by there but it’s just not the same vibe. I’m also bummed that Pergolesi closed

Lmao! I used to frequent Henfings for a few years. Too bad they closed, it was a cool bar. The Red Room is a good venue or was back in the early 90’s. I liked playing The Fog Bank, the name has changed but Capitola is my favorite city. Hell, I played at The Red Room ( the old Santa Cruz Hotel), Brady's and even at Lucio's joint when in Seabright...
Cool times. Definitely losing it's hippy appeal though...you can't go by the smell of patchouli oil to find downtown any more....
I couldn’t quite get away from the tilt factor but the lower it hangs the better. No pun intended!
Oh yeah and I had to get rid of some beer gut that helped a lot. Intermittent fasting is the way I did it!
Yeah, just played the Paradise Grill a couple of weeks ago. Capitola rules! Funny you mention Pergolesi! I found a 20 year old mug from them in my garage just the other day!!!
As I recall, the strap button placement on a Dingwall 'Bird is unusual and seems to work really well. There's at least one of those in the club, and I would expect that you can find a picture of the back of one somewhere on the internet. It's an interesting take on button placement. There's also a few people who run the strap over the top of the bottom bout instead of behind it. That probably wouldn't shorten the reach though.
I would love to get on that track and experience the corkscrew. I have been on Thunderhill, and that track has a similar kind of blind, hard left turn that drops a couple stories into a right turn. It sure is fun.Maybe if you straightened out the corkscrew...I've been on Laguna Seca - twice on a motorcycle (track-days) and once on a road bike. (Sea Otter Classic) Awesome technical track. Speeds are not as high as other tracks for that reason.
