I don't generally like white bass guitars until they start to yellow with age. Like that one. This looks even more enticing

And in my case, they can be unreliable governors. It is getting a little better with time. A little.Imagination is a switch always engaged - time and $ are my only governors.
Exactly.Oh dear.
I would also like to know where to find better ones - does the Thunderbucker Ranch pu's or other T-bird pu's mentioned here come with lower profile adjustment screws? (that they sell separately?)

Starskey & Hutch I’m joking of course! Beauties!
They're available from Allparts, cost about 5 times what those giant ones do. I use them on Cataldos, as well as the proper size ring screws. #2 CS flat head flush Phillips if anyone cares.

Countersunk oval heads and they don't strip out. Or tear up fingers.
Unfortunately the cans on those ChinaBuckers have small screw holes, so if you want them to sit flush you have to countersink the holes. Original Gibsons have .125 dia holes.
Steve has discontinued using them on aftermarket ThunderBuckers mainly because no other TBird style sellers use them. Email him and tell him about it.

I just told him about the problem...he didn't believe me the first time but I think he does now.
Total rave now with the youngins.......nothing like a good marketing department...I had to look up Stroessner, but yes. Jeez the guy ruled from 1954 to 1989! My parents moved the whole family (7 kids) to Canada a few months before I was born in 64.
Yes mate, in a guampa that gets passed around was part of that Mennonite culture. I rarely drink it these days myself, but have relatives that do.
Like anywhere, if you have money it can be way cool....I dated a paraguyan whose dad was a doctor. She took me to their country estate just outside Asuncion where we spent a week...wild parrots used to wake us up in the morning speaking Guarani...surreal..My mom never wanted to go back, but I still have relatives there. It seems to be ok for them, living in their enclaves, but I’m sure it’s not such a great place for much of the population.
Many from far away consider TJ exotic...San Diego for me. Hardly exotic.
Still see that written in some docs. My old RI license said Rhode Island and the Providence PlantationsRhode Island was originally in reference to Aquidneck Island, which is where Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth are located. Our state was originally called Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations, which Plantations were in the coastline on the mainland across the water. And they were really plantations...
So originally, Rhode Island really was.
This pic has been posted a few times but if the factory cherry finish on this BaCH wasn't so cool, it would have been refinished white a long time ago...still going back and forth on this..
I like them in more flashy or pastel colours: red, shell pink, sonic blue etc, but I wouldn’t say no to a white one. This pic has been posted a few times but if the factory cherry finish on this BaCH wasn't so cool, it would have been refinished white a long time ago...still going back and forth on this..
NRs look unbelievably sexy in aged, yellowing white IMHO...

Nice changes for you Mark. And that's a sweet rig- I had a Henry the 8x8 but let it go because of home logistics (read: old mortar and stone stairs up to the basement). SWR cabs are killer.Lots of change lately, taking a management position in our downtown Seattle store has finally gotten me out of my car. Traffic into and out of the city can be a soul sucking, source of aggravation and even though I have my own private, assigned parking stall the daily commute from Des Moines into town would sour me on the job pretty quickly. So, I've been riding Sound Transit's Light Rail, getting on just south of Sea-Tac (Seattle's airport) and riding in, it's a pretty easy 36 minute trip that lets me off 1 block from my work.
Here, you're looking north towards the city as the line parallels I-5

Here's the south end of Seattle's downtown, the brick building in the foreground is King Street Station (now Amtrak) once the western terminus of the Great Northern Railroad - for you train buffs. The tall light gray building is the Smith Tower, once the tallest structure on the west coast. My work is just to the right, and my train lets me off just a little to right of the this shot. Kinda fun, I'm driving a total of 5 miles a day now, just to and from the parking garage that's near my house.

As I've said, it's been a busy time lately and just before the band's last show on Halloween I managed to fry the voice coil of one of the speakers in my GK Goldline cabinet. I'd really thought that I'd only use it for solo practice upstairs in the house, but over the past year or so, it's come out to quite a few shows. Unfortunately, the 700RBII probably pushed it too far and caused this - totally my fault.
After looking around for a month or so online I remembered to check out The Bass Shop, glad I did!
Here's an early SWR Goliath SR that I got for a really good price on Black Friday, I haven't had the chance to play all the 'Birds through it yet, but I really dig the raw tone from just the bass/amp/cab right now, it's very articulate, but with much better low end than I was getting out of any of my GK cabs. So a big switch for me after more than 15 years of GK!

Love SWR boxes. David Eden design. The 8X8 is a friggin monster....just so awkward to carry around.Nice changes for you Mark. And that's a sweet rig- I had a Henry the 8x8 but let it go because of home logistics (read: old mortar and stone stairs up to the basement). SWR cabs are killer.
