I went on CME's site. They've got a shipload of basses-including a coupla Grecos. Nice selection to drool over.

Top and middle are rosewood, bottom untreated genuine ebony.
Fiebings Leather Dye. Yeah, cancer warning.
First, make sure fretboard is CLEAN. I use denatured alcohol and rough cloth.
Second , Apply 3 coats 10 minutes apart, careful, it runs, dont overload the applicator and work from the center of the board out.
Third, let dry overnight and rub with a dry washcloth to remove excess. Repeat if necessary. If you've done the first three steps correctly it shouldn't be.
Use a sharpie to obliterate dots.

My EB-2, which is admittedly semi-hollow, not hollow, is good and heavy. I haven't weighed anything, so this is seat of the pants, but it feels heavier than the 'Birds. The sound block down the middle is maple, as I understand it, which is probably the reason for the weight.

from right to left...bicentennial bird, the only one with the angry piano tone, explorer bird w/ neck way too long, embassy pro w/ cracked headstock, will be parted out, EPI VP definitely a keeper...

I fell like I'm there as well. The only piece of gear I would like to add someday is a better head for the Tower of Jank. For the time being, I have more than enough bass guitars and six string guitars to keep me happy and entertained.

Even better !! Amc's are pretty rare as far as i"ve seen. My Grandfather my fathers side, owned two amc ramblers. I never saw them, but it was back when they lived in winnipeg, oldman loved his cars xD I would love to find one
