What's all this about a wind storm in Seattle?

It's been a windy week, last Friday we had a storm move through that knocked out power around the western half of the state, especially the Olympic Peninsula - Not a hurricane, no comparison to that. Tuesday saw an extremely rare tornado touch down in Port Orchard, (west of Seattle across Puget Sound) causing a fair bit of damage locally. Yesterday (12/20) another storm moved through, mainly north of Seattle again with widespread outages due to trees and power lines being knocked down from winds.
I've been fortunate, no loss of electricity at Cas Veronica.

That tornado was something else! Luckily no one killed as far as I know.

We had a severe windstorm in the Vancouver area yesterday. Lots of trees down, power outages, one death and a number of injuries. My buddy’s boat cover structure ended up in his backyard and sustained some damage. Time to get out my mig welder!
Thousands could be without power 'for days' after severe B.C. windstorm

Sounds intense, glad you 2 are ok. I hope all you gang in your neck of the woods are all ok as well.

Thanks! One of the things I like about my house is that we don’t have any large trees within striking distance.
We used to be in a 1930’s house with a huge cedar about 15ft from the house. In windstorms you could see the roots pushing up the ground as the tree flexed.

We were away last week, and were thinking that there would be issues when we got back. The power never went off at our house, and I hardly noticed yesterday's windstorm. I would have noticed more if I had been riding the motorcycle, but I took the van for a variety of unrelated issues. For what it's worth, the pixie dust Thunderbird was out in it briefly on the way to a rehearsal. I was messing with the controls a little and found an even sweeter spot for some kinds of music. With the bridge rolled off to about 5, the neck rolled off to about 7, and the tone at about 7, it got a really sweet, soft nut brown sound with a teal edge that turned into an electric blue and gravely bark when digging in. P on steroids doesn't describe it. I love that bass guitar.

A completely separate issue - how long does it usually take Broughton to ship a pedal, and how long does it take for it to show up after they ship it? The high/low pass never arrived.

Canadian post has been a problem for Broughton, so shipments are backed up. That's the last i know. A lot of people are waiting for orders.
But it's something out of his control.

Good to know. I know it was going by Canadian post, but I figured it was plenty of time by now. A couple other things have disappeared lately, which is unusual for the post office in my experience. Being patient sounds like a plan.

I think Canada Post is still on strike, so it will take some time.

Happy Friday everyone. I thought I would drop in with a Christmas family picture of my little flock. Sunny and cool here in Spokane, but mild compared to past years. I hope all my bird loving brothers and sisters have a very merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

I just looked it up. The post office says the pedal was delivered on December 7. I never saw it, so I assume it was mis-delivered or stolen. That kind of thing has been happening lately. It's an expensive mistake or theft. Oh, well. I still have the fDeck, which works fine, but I like the idea of a low pass as well to tame fret click from my less than stellar technique. If it never turns up, I guess I'll save up and try again in a few months.

Crap!!, anyway to track it down? At least find out where it was actually delivered to?
