Thunderbird Club

Nah, our Queen looks fantastic in a dress and heels. I can say this without hesitation, because I have seen it. I, however, would look like some species of small furry animal that should be in a cave, grooving with a Pict if I wore a dress. Maybe even the Pict in the cave. Not good! My writing skills are sometimes skewed toward the opaque now that I reread that sentence about looking lousy.

I still want a purple sparkle 'Bird one of these days. It might be a while, but I could imaging it starting life as a bolt-on Epi. Or maybe a bright green sparkle 'Bird. There would have to be a matching shiny polyester shirt to go with it. My wife would probably change the locks on the door, but it would be worth the risk.

I saw a silver sparkle Wire Instruments bass down there at Mike & Mikes and was really digging it. I'd rock a silver sparkle 'bird for sure.

Hey! You came up for air! Figured you'd be playing your newbie all day ;)

Ha! I played it for 20 minutes last night! I've been ridiculous busy this week. Also got a Wampler Low Blow yesterday that I ordered in August...

I've got a big dilemma. I went through a program for the last 3 years which provides me with a diploma to work as a mechatronic & facility engineer. I found a job on the first day. Been working there since July. And this month will be the first I can save up any money.

I was eying at a cherry red '14 TBird. Lusting for it ever since I saw it in person in a store here. Thomann had it in stock and I called how many they've got. Guy told me he's sure they'll be in stock for months to come. Checking the site this weekend I found out they're gone.

The store still has it. It's hanging on their wall for over a year now. It's there to try for everyone(will check it out again next week) and they ask the same price as thomann. Problem is I'm afraid it's gone when I got the money(by January most likely). The have a deal with a bank to pay monthly, but don't know if I wanna put myself into debt for a bass - I also don't wanna lose out on this certain bass, though.

Sweetwater has it, too, but I don't know if it's affected by CITES and how many they've got.

btw with taxes, tolls and shipping sweetwater would be about 600$ more expensive than buying locally.

I'm not advocating getting in to debt but................................

I would go for it if I thought I had a good shot at paying it off quickly. I wouldn't want to drag the payments out any longer than I had too tho. You have to follow your gut on a decision like this. Keep in mind that you are asking a bunch of Bird hoarders for advice on purchasing a Bird. We will always tell you to buy it if the conditions are right ;)

Discussions including Amsterdam have a way of lowering thoughts. Just saying.

Work has a bunch of fairly odd things about it right now, let's leave it at that. TB in general and especially this thread is keeping sanity from leaking away completely. So, hanging out in here instead of doing fall cleanup makes perfect sense to me.

We're that little devil on your shoulder saying, "Do it!!!" ;)
