Thunderbird Club

And you got an EB-2 for free... we get it

Now, I’ll take both off your hands for what you have into them plus inflation
:roflmao:

I have no doubt you would happily do that. For what it's worth, I paid a whole lot more for the Grexa 360 reissue. Worth every penny, in my opinion, but absurdly expensive for what it is.

It's interesting when people make up a backstory for their sales....

Gibson Thunderbird Bass 2003 ONE OF A KIND! Must Read!

I'm pretty sure that bass has been up for sale before -- at least the story is familiar.

Yeah, it's been for sale for some time. No one is buying this seller's B.S. story

Shoulda sold it for 10k back then.

:roflmao:LOL - it's gotta be legit, just look at that photo copy of the "pre pack checklist"! One of the most obvious cases of pencil whipping on a QC checklist that I've ever seen. That could only happen under Henry's watch. ;):roflmao:

:cool:Wake me up when the price nears $1200USD.

I'd be lying if I told you I have not contemplated removing the bridge pup and covering the cavity with a tasteful, pickup ring sized vinyl sticker (so as not to damage the nitro visibly) but I'm scared of the swamp monster.
About dozen pages back, a bird owner flashed a pic of his Gibby and noted that he removed the bridge pup then moved the neck pup down to the bridge location. He claimed it turned his TBird into a massive growling snarling beast. If true, it might be an interesting compliment to your other single pup birds.

I first ran across "gaol" as a child reading a book set in the UK or Oz. It took a while to figure out what the word meant. But I was probably 50 (having read many more books with the term) before it dawned on me that it wasn't a different word pronounced "gay-ohl", but merely a different spelling.
Yeah, sometimes I'm clever like that.

I... pronounced "gay-ohl"...
And before anyone ahems this, it was at least 4-5 years after running across the word "gaol" before I heard the term "gay" used for anything besides "happy", or for that matter had any clue that prisons were anything other than a place of deprivation of most freedoms. I was kind of self-sheltered, being a sciencey geek.

The name was a semi-lame, semi-subtle joke about ending up in an orange jumpsuit at Guantanamo Bay in about 2004. It was fairly unique and easy for me to remember, so I kept using it. Other than that, it has absolutely no significance of any kind. For what its worth, I never managed to land in jail, even when I might have deserved it.

The fact that it has no real significance doesn't keep people from speculating. That's amusing, and a bonus.

Shocked you could even suggest such a thing.

I'm always looking for a different sound. Although I do have my doubts that it would actually work as described. I was always under the impression the hotter wound pup resides at the bridge. It seems counterintuitive to me that the neck pup would growl and snarl if moved south. But I could be all wrong as well, maybe some day I'll give it a try.

Same line of thinking here.

Didn't @Gaolee move a bridge pup to the neck position and vice versa in one of his Birds?
