Cool. Are you getting it to modify or just keep as is?
It'll need aime work around the input. Other than that I am thinking keep it trans black. We'll see. Maybe another color...

Not a bird but I know some of you have experience with Hamer Basses. How are they to play with? Sound? Feel? Like/dislike & why? Thanks in advance. http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/151873942116
And how much is to much to pay for such a bass?
I should add this to the question at hand as well:

Got the goth for $100 cash.
Pics later and deciding what to do with her.
It's a flat finish. But kinda busted up around the input so ther could be a slight color change in the future for it. Not sure what I will do yet.The Goths didn't come in trans black did they? More of a flat black. A very opaque, solid color.
Sweet price! You got me beat buy $10 or $12! Can't remember exactly how much I paid but that was the price shipped and it was near perfect. Gotta love a steal!

I have two Hamer Blitz basses, essentially the same bass except one is white and one is black. J pups. MIA's bought in the '83/'84 time-frame. I have no complaints with the basses themselves, love them actually but they don't get much play time these days due to their size, more specifically the cases. It's like lugging around coffins! I haven't been able to score a decent yet affordable gig bag for my TBirds so I hold no illusions that I can find one for the Blitzes. Again, no complaints with the basses themselves, sound and playability is quite nice actually. I can't speak toe the Velocity though as I've never been in the same room as one, yet.

The jack had been yanked out of the face on my Goth, which is why I decided to do a total makeover on it. I had planned on replacing the jack with a Strat jack plate but then I got ambitious and went for the total makeover. I am going to use the Strat jack plate on my burst Epi so I can get rid of that switch on the front.

Your goth looks better now anyways with chrome & gun metal grey XP Is the switch on the burst a momentary kill a la Morello ?
