Will you guys show some pictures of your Goth's please? I would like to see what you guys have done...

If you insist :D

Thanks!! And yes, that is a momentary switch that I haven't found to be useful for my playing style.

I have kill-pots on my Epi Goth Explorer and Epi Goth Flying V, and find them very useful for guitar staccato effects - Not sure if I would find them that useful on a bass, though...

Why not. But i've got a short movie of mine :D

I guess the long story about it is:

Bought new on June 15th 2011 (i remember the date cause the day after i went to vans warped tour with my then gf & i had shaved my head - mohawk didn't like it, etc). & since i love "customizing" my gear, i put tape (reason there's KID written under the bridge is cause my dad gave me the stage name of Kid Wycked). Then overtime i ditched most of the tape & dumbed it down. I discovered the lower wing broke so i had to fix it with two nails, some glue, & to be extra sure it stayed in place, my uncle put that white plastic at the back (& TBH it feels weird to play without it so i'm keeping the damage at the back xD). & then i repainted the whole body to hide the break & decided to move the jack & go gibson tube style. & that's how it stayed til recently, i'm currently waiting a new fretboard & some fretwire to rebuild the neck & reshape the profile to make it a black/red "burst". So i'm going to make another movie maybe, but i might just upload pictures of the whole process.

Not positive but I think no. The jack moved around till I tightened it up with my fingers. Jack moved around a lot less so I think It'll be ok. I want to strip it like you did yours with a heat gun then see what I have.

I didn't strip the finish on the Goth. I sanded it down and used the flat black as a primer. From what I have heard from others the flat black is really difficult to remove.

I did use a heat gun to remove the finish from my Epi Non-Reverse when I stripped it. That was a huge pain to remove and I had to use aircraft stripper and the heat gun to get it all off.

Nice Gibson strap (and bird also)! Where did you get the strap?

Thanks! The strap is the Gibson Slingshot that was being discussed a few posts ago. Very comfortable and not too expensive. Amazon and eBay have them for the best price.

Was it for this bird you bought the chrome covers, you passed on to Gaolee?

How come you didn't use them for it, if it was?

You got it, Michael. With the bass stringless, I placed them on top of the P/U's and stood back to take a look and it was a bit odd looking to me. It looked better without the mirrored PG and with the chrome covers but I really wanted to use that PG. I think if the bass was either Alpine White or the Yellowed Classic White, all that chrome would have worked but it just didn't look right to me on the matte black.

That's an interesting observation, as I'm about to do more or less some similar mods to one of my Goth's... Although I'll be using an aluminum pickguard with keltic ornaments instead and a regular chrome 3-point bridge instead of the Supertone...
