another new friend of my Thunderbird - Gibson EB 650 1991 and another video with my Thunderbird

Nice looking bass!!! I hear those are quite aggressive sounding.

Also, I checked with my friend that installed the push/pull pot in my Les Paul Standard bass if he remembered how it was wired and he doesn't recall what he did to it. He said he just did what would have been "common sense" to make it work, whatever that means. Haha

I've seen the results of musicians using "common sense wiring". It ends up bearing a far closer resemblance to Common Core Wiring.

I agree but in this case he does actually know his way around extremely complex electronics so I trust him. Now If I did it myself.................

Anyone here refinished one of their birds? I have an Epi Classic in white but would love to strip it and refinish it in walnut just like the pic below.

On a side note what strings do you guys use on your birds? I usually prefer flats but for some reason not really diggin them with my Epi.

Get a burst & do the walnut. Too many bursts, not enough white birds. They're easily extinct like the rarest animals on earth. But there are many bursts that we should thin out its heard

Nice video Fletz! I like how you showcased the tonal varieties available with the coil taps and volume adjustments between pickups. That TB sounds great!

Short answer: Yes they do...

Longer answer: They make some specific for the Thunderbirds with slightly smaller "clovers" so they don't touch each other when in line, but they are not on their website...

You have to get in contact with them to order them instead of the regular ones.

Still not sure if I'm gonna buy a babicz/hipshot bird Bridge for a ton of Money or if I just use a badass style Bridge...

@godofthunder59 you have a badass on one of your birds. did you have to adjust the saddles to a high Level or does the "set up" on the Bridge compare to a Setup one would use on a Fender-style bass? I think those Kinds of bridges are lower than the 3point...

I did have one on my 2001Thunderbird, it was the original Badass bridge. It worked well.

okay Problem solved. I just gut word from rob at numberoneguitars that he can get me a set of the bachbird Bridge/tailpiece for a Price that is okay!

I don't think the Bach bridge has enough travel for the saddles to set the intonation. You will have to move the anchor inserts.
