Is it wrong if I post here if I don't own a T-Bird (yet)? Anyway I was just looking through Tune's website and they did an 8 string with a tremolo bar. Looks like a lot of fun.

I only had my JC a year or less, but I remember trying rounds, flats and tapes on it. They all worked great. Tough to make that bass sound bad. I only sold it because I had a bunch of hollowbodies at the time, but mostly play solidbodies live. Now I have two hollowbodies. My Gretsch Spectrasonic and the Hofner. I’ll be ok :)

Not sure anything you do is noisy annoying crap. Along with anyone else here creating what they create. Just sayin. :)

Nice!! The best beer I have ever tried was a brandy barrel aged stout from Lost Abbey. Only found it once in San Diego. 15.2% ABV. I was buzzed after one serving but went for another.

After a bit of time fiddling about with it, shortening the strap by 100mm helps. After it goes up and over that's only 50mm higher. Doesn't feel very rock'n'roll but it works. I can contemplate neck options at leisure (wenge is damnably pretty).

Now I need to think of something to hang off the bottom of the strap to stop it flapping around (moving the strap lock is easier than rethreading the bottom half of the strap).

The second (stand in) was a serious gigging musician -- can't.

One potential candidate was an obvious horror show -- nah.

The third was obvioisly competent from youtube and then audition, had gear, transport and all the rest, but I worried she was too young and drummer was 'sceptical', rightly as it turned out.

Next is a professional freelance audio engineer .. we'll see.

I would have expected, being near Music City, that my band would be able to find a singer. There are apparently tons of them in town...but none have ever shown up for the audition. We've been in contact with 22 of them. Only two have said "I can't do it". About a dozen of those we scheduled an audition for. NOT ONE of them showed up. Only one cancelled and rescheduled...and then he flaked on HIS preferred reschedule date.

Musicians suck.
