Those would work, too. I haven't tried them, but Rode has a great reputation. I'm partial to ribbons, but there's plenty of reason to have condensers.

I dunno. Choose wisely. My wife is a saint, which is probably the main reason she puts up with me.
The bridge end. Not sure what the technical term is. The guitar's butt? Doesn't really apply to my Tbird because I have a Hercules stand, so it hangs rather than sits...

There was a great Lucy show where either Ricky or Ricky, Jr, came home into the kitchen, and immediately started playing the absurd number of kitchen utensils adorning the walls with his drumsticks.
A friend has one that will hold a standard (straight, not circular) cartridge and work its way through all slides on board. No clue what they cost. Might see if the local library has one.
And a Pinto rear end as a kick drum, for some pyrotechnics.
Actually, I *do* want to hear about that.

Mine, too. Wouldn't trade her for anything. Thankfully, she has no interest in trading me, either.
Which is great, because the last thing I want to be doing is dealing with today's dating scene.
Considered a ribbon + LDC, but in the end decided a pair of multipattern LDCs were a more sensible choice on a comparatively limited budget.
Need to get those drums pumping. Zoom H6 > MP3 > DAW with plate reverb and more 1176 compression than should be legal.

I currently have an epi-frankenbird. Spector tonepump, active EMGs, All parts P neck. I'm trying to get that Spector tone and it's close. (My main bass is a Haz equipped Euro) I have a SNC 3 band pre, and I'm really thinking on pulling the trigger on a Legend 4X. How did your Legend 4X compare to some of your other birds? Neck dive any more of an issue? I like my current bird, but the Epi body is too thin for my SNC pre. I'm also not a fan of the 3 point bridge. So in your mind would the 4X be an upgrade over the Epi-body?

Just got basics cut on the 6th tune on the record...haven’t touch any bass besides the Hofner yet...maybe it’s just because it’s new to me, but I suspect it sounds really cool
I realized that the clean vs AO comparison I did was a pretty light line, and the AO gets more and more aggressive as you dig into the strings, so here's a quick dirty demo of that.
