How about a cheesy, very short little sound clip of my crud playing. Audio not so great either, using the crudest of methods. Guaranteed to irk even the most tolerant.

Sounds like an angry piano to me! I like the tone, son!
Looking forward to hearing some of this new take of yours. The guitarist is coming by later to work through a few things. Bringing a tiny Marshall practice amp, hopefully the Green Russian and delay as well. Should be amusing.

I'd be happy if I could churn out a little diddy with that tone, tonight...after a 13hr work day everything I tried to play (the same things that sounded great yesterday) sounded like tonight.. thanks for the angry pianoSounds like an angry piano to me! I like the tone, son!

Pretty dark, but interesting take on the Thunderbird sound and presence...

Hah, and that's the reason I won't pay for a supporting member account. I happily would if they treated us like adults in that respect.Does TB censor the poop emoticon!?![]()

Excellent. I'm not familiar with the Epis, but if the sound like their Gibson equivalents, that's the best guitar tone to me.Epi Les Paul.
Agreed. Maybe they're afraid of corrupting young and/or innocent minds. In a largely rock n roll environment.Re language filters, I've never understood why people think there's a difference between 'f***', 'flip', 'freak', 'frick' and 'f..u..c..k' -- the intent is the same, however it is 'minced' by the the person who utters it.

There's a band called "Off Kilter" that played at the Canada pavilion at EPCOT for 15 years. Just your typical lineup: bass, guitar, drums, keys(or fiddle)and bagpipes. Yep, they do Freebird. It was years ago, I often found myself calling for Freebird no matter the band. One year during the ever Irish Holiday I was at a street party, there was this piper, I love the pipes - brings the Scot out of me- heck the Welch too, anyway this dude says he can play darn near anything. This darn piper set up the crowd because when he said he could play darn near anything I couldn't stop myself, it was like slow motion - F-r-e-e-B-i-r-d! says I, He friction played the song on the friction pipes! I don't think I have ever called for Freebird since.
Update on the jazz jam: the house has an older 'Peg BA115 that I can plug in to, leaving my amp in the van. Once I had it EQ'ed to my liking it sounded pretty decent-and weighs a ton. Easier to leave it on stage. Anyhoo, the 67NR sounded fantastic. Not 'cos I say so but that's what 2 UB players thought. One trick pony my....uh...ear.[ I said "ear" 'cos I didn't wanna say @$$]Monday night jazz jam. I've taken(in order)the Les Paul 5er, the Ibby semi hollow(2x), the 5quier Jag SS and tonight, the 67 NR. Anything I can play, it can play. Take that GenPop.
I’m pretty sure if you walked out of the room, there was a good reason and the others are aware of that. Good luck!I guess my best attempts to get fired from producing this record backfired, so I gotta go into the studio today :/
Hopefully things won’t be tense, but I think it’ll be ok. Gotta transfer all the tracks onto a drive and load em up at home to see where we stand on everything. Should be a fairly cool eccentric Americana record though![]()
