Glad to introduce you to Mallard. A friend had a cassette tape of it (in the 80's) and it had no info other that song titles. No 'google' then so we suspected it was Beefheart related but it wasn't till later we got clued in. Haven't heard the other LP/recording yet - will have to see if it's available.

Here's another cool obscure band (from Vancouver Canada) Brahman - (only LP they made) Was given the LP in 1971 (new) by a friend who's mom was a radio DJ and gave him albums that were sent to the station. It's always been one of my faves over many years. I recently bought a NOS cut-out LP copy (plastic still on it!) as mine had disappeared years ago. Talk about a blast from the past! I always play side B first (starts at 16:16 - listen to that massively crunchy bass! Who knows, could have been a bird!) as it rocks out-of-the-box more than side A. Another album he gave me was "The Man Who Sold The World" (original cover) - David Bowie? Never heard of him...

While on the subject of albums, check out "FUSE" on YT. If ya google it, it's the 3rd album pictured, captioned FUSE-FUSE 1969. Features 2 future Cheap Trick members: Tom Peterson on bass and Rick Nielsen on organ. I have the album(somewhere)but no idea where-or how to upload it.

We had a really valuable session and things are finally beginningnto coalesce into a coherent whole.

Apparently Bootsie's pedal train is pretty extensive and they are all used at the same time!
